UNDERSTANDING OWN RESPONSE TO BODY IMAGE 5/7/17 task 1.2


Identify one image of a group of people that is emphasised in the media.
 
Even though i enjoy the show i think it is very over emphasised in the media.
 
Music may be a big part of day to day life but i feel like singers/rappers are talked about way to much on the media.

The Kardashians  are always on the media but its not always for the good reasons. A lot of girls look up to them but is it for the right reason? As a lot of them have had a lot of work done to has these 'amazing' bodies.

Recently youtubers have become more well known in the media with all there challenges and pranks they pull not only that they teach a lot of the more unfortunate of how to do things such as makeup instead of paying to go to college/schools.

UNDERSTANDING OWN RESPONSE TO BODY IMAGE 28/6/17 TASK 1


POSITIVE IMAGE


1 what is your fist choice of body image saying to you
Beyonce is a positive image to me as in all her songs she presents that everyone is equal but she also puts out there that women have rights not just men.








2 Do you want to look like the image
Everybody has a past even though its not always something to be proud of Chris Brown has shown us this by turning his life around and put all his energy into his music and is now concentrating being a more positive role model as a lot of young children look up to him and look at him as a role model. Yes i would like to look like this image.


3 What would you be prepared to do to look like the image ?
i would be prepared to work on my self image by working on a healthier diet and going to the gym. I would compromise with my sleeping pattern and my outlook on things such as life in its self. Whist being prepared to work the long hours and putting all my emotions and anger into my music. 



4 Is your current personal image a positive one ?
Yes ? why?
No? why? As i don't like my body or the way i look, i let other peoples opinions get to me.

USING AURAL SKILLS TASK 4.3 Italian Musical Terms 28/6/17

Task 4.3


Listen again to one of the songs in the tasks above and use three Italian musical terms to show what is happening in he different sections of the song. First state he word then outline the section of the song the term applies to
Italian Musical Terms
Bohemian Rhapsody
The first section of the song is lento (slow)  it starts at the beginning the lyrics 'is this real life, is this a fantasy'.
The second section of the song is staccato (detached) the lyrics says 'I'm just a poor boy no body loves me'
The third section of the song is decrescendo  (gradually getting quieter) where it says 'nothing really matters, anyone can see'

USING UARAL SKILLS TASK 4.2

Task 4.2

Listen to a range of music with contrasting styles from
Opera singing, soul singing, Pop music to Rap and talk about the differences in articulation and the importance of how words or notes are expressed and how this gives meaning to the song

So the first song I have chosen is called Gentleman, it is a grime tune that is rap it is quite dark lyrically and based on reality there isn’t a lot of expression in the deliver and it is quite monotone this adds to the overall vibe of being very sombre. Although the song isn’t depressing it isn’t uplifting either

So the second song I have chosen is called Always on time, it is a RnB tune the lyrics are quite catchy and is a very party song which makes you want get up dance/sing along. In this song there is a lot of expression happy and is made for the clubs.

The third song we listened to was Nessun Dorma by Pavarotti even though the lyrics are not English it is still powerful and as it starts of quite it is like someone coming out of there shell as a long the song it gets louder and more powerful and makes the song more meaning

Using Logic pro record the evidence and state where it is stored



The song that i have performed is one that i wrote on my own and is called People are lying. I wrote it using logic pro and it is now stored on my desktop.

USING AURAL SKILLS TASK 3.2

Task 3.2

Using the same selection of songs point out where notes have been lengthened or shortened these notes can be vocal or instrumental, talk about how changing the length of notes can impact on an expression or the articulation in a song
Lots of long notes in the first and second verse, it makes the song more interesting and dramatic. The piano section has much shorter notes it makes the song more up-beat and energetic, this offers a big change to the long section  to finish the song goes back to long notes this helps to calm down the song.With the different note lengths it makes the song very dramatic and helps to tell the story and keeps you interested. In the end all these different techniques in the song come together which makes the end a lot more powerful ending and all  round powerful song.

USING AURAL SKILLS TASK 4.1

Task 4.1
Know about changes of dynamics in a piece of music

From one of the chosen tracks Identify where dynamic changes occur listen for where the song ranges from soft to loud and talk about how the dynamic shift affects the tone and mood of the song

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY


It starts of quiet with just vocals, it feels relaxing then in comes the instruments when the drums come in it adds tension. At the end of each verse it goes quiet with the piano. Which makes it more relaxing.
The second verse gets louder and louder which builds more tension.
The next part of the song is a guitar solo which is loud which is very dramatic then there is an operatic section that is very scary then there is rock section that is loud and fun .To finish the song it gets quiet again which helps to calm you down. the overall effect is to tell a story it is a sad story that uses a lot of dynamics to get the message through.

Keep your friends close 

Ryan and Debbie had known each other since high school and up until recently they didn't really talk much,  when they started talking they realised they got on really well they would spend a lot of time talking about different things such as giving Debbie advise on what to do with her home and school situation but was manly just a shoulder to cry on and Ryan would always listen to what Debbie would have to say.What Debbie didn't realise her 'best friend' Anna was watching and taking notes as of what was going on. A few weeks down the line Debbie realised a change in Anna's behaviour, she would act all snappy and moody with Debbie. When she tried talking to Anna about it she would always turn round and say how about you go tell Ryan instead. At the same time what Debbie didn't realise is Anna and Ryan's girlfriend Lucy was getting close and was discussing what Debbie and Ryan talk ,even though its supposed to be a secret so they sat back and planned a way to ruin Debbie and Ryan's friendship.Anna decided that she would make up a loud of lies about Debbie , she would say that she saw Debbie out with another boy and it looked like they were really close, Ryan hit the roof  with Debbie and finished the friendship
 much to Debbie's surprise because she had no idea what he was talking about and didn't know where he was getting his information. While all this was happening Anna just sat back and laughed. Eventually Debbie managed to get Ryan to tell her where he had got his information . Although Debbie now knew the cause of her problem she kept it to herself but decided to keep her distance from Anna , also she decided to just stay friends with Ryan as he did not trust her.
The moral of the story is to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Task 3.1
Know about changes in rhythm 

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY


State where a change in rhythm has taken place
Learners will be given a range of tracks with varying rhythms
Learners will identify where the change has taken place and explain the effect it has had on the son

The song starts off really slow with long notes it feels gentle and very emotional because of how slow the song is the lyrics really draw you in. After the intro the song goes into a steady beat that is the first change this feels like traditional rock with a guitar solo.
At the end of the solo is another change and the tempo gets faster and louder and becomes scary. Then it becomes an opera with lots of erratic changes and tempos. At the end of this opera section it goes into a rock section the time signature 4/4. At the end of this solo it slows right down and finishes with just vocals getting slower and slower.

Learners will be given a simple rhythm to clap from a popular song. Whilst keeping time learners will join in and replicate the simple rhythm to show understanding

CREATIVE WRITING SKILLS TASK 1B SHORT STORY 1 /3 /7

 Trust 

Once upon a time there was a crazy boy called Peter he was very close to a girl called Debbie ,
Peter was in the year above so they did not talk as much in school as they do out of school but in Debbie's year she had a single girlfriend called Abigail  so she trusted her with all her secrets.
One day Peter told debbie that his relationship with his girlfriend wasn't working and that he probably wanted to get out of it, this was confidential information and he felt he could trust Debbie to keep his secret. Debbie felt this was a dilemma and thought that if she talked it through with Abigail just to get some advice , this was also in confidence and Debbie made this clear to Abi.
Abigail had somehow got some information that Debbie had not told her regarding another of Debbie's friend. Someone had called Abi a thief to Debbie but Debbie did not feel the need to tell Abi as she was already upset and Debbie did not want to make things worse. when she found out she was angry at Debbie so she decided to tell Peters girlfriend about Debbie and Peter being Very close. As Peter and his girlfriend was already going through a rough stage it caused everything to blow up and made things ten times worse. Debbie was put in a very difficult position of who she should choose to stay loyal too. If she is loyal to Abi she looses Peter but if she stays loyal to Peter she looses Abi. if she looses her friendship with Peter its because she has betrayed his trust but if she looses her friendship with Abi its because Abi betrayed her trust. she who does she trust more? Loyalty is a very difficult thing. 
Be careful who you trust!
